You see things I just can’t. Splotches are duckies. Swishes are flowers. You blend colors out of your enthusiasm to swirl pigments to paper- any surface, really. You are so focused and driven to create what you see in your mind. You are too little to remember or fully know your Great Grandma Florence, but I see bits of you in her when you paint. It’s our family tradition and it’s in our blood I think. Keep seeing things and making them come alive no matter what you do, dear one. I so love your passion.

“But mom, I NEED to paint. I’m an Artist!”

My sweet babe is turning three next month, and to help freeze these little moments in my life, she and I had a fun little girls date at my studio to take a few photos. We were actually there to take some pics of her in her flower girl dress for my brother’s wedding, but I snapped these quick to test the lighting. Flower girl pics to come!

Oh how I love this little bug of mine! Personality and adorableness to the max. She is my heart. Where did the past three years go?

A few things about her:
Favorite food: Macaroni and Cheese
Favorite color: Pink
Favorite song: “kids no more” (Send my love… Adele)
Favorite places: Neenas house, Children’s museum, zoo
Favorite toys: Minnie Mouse dolls, Curious George, Little People princesses, My Little Ponies
Favorite thing to play: Birthday Party Picnic (we sing to happy birthday on a daily basis)
Loves to: Put on “lipstick”, brush her teeth, choose her own pajamas, read books, take care of mama, help with anything
Random trick: She knows just about all the car brands (but gets especially excited when she sees a Toyota or Jeep), creatively stalling her bed time
